| "spring cleaning" | Both of "spring cleaning" and "monkey man" are drawings in ink. For the displayed piece, I touched it up and created a backround using photoshop. |
| "monkey man" | And, uh, the second piece is called "monkey man." However, I'm not really sure what a sane person would call it . |
| "self portrait" painting | Yes, that is me with a silly outfit. I got the idea from looking at a particularly silly medieval outfit in an Van Der Weyden painting. This is also why my expression is so stoicevery subject in a medieval painting has one. Don't bother asking about the skull or banana, though, because I don't know either. |

| Figure Drawings (1): | One of my activities is participating in figure drawing sessions. Most of the drawings are simply pencil and newsprint, but some (like the redhead one) are oils or mixed media. |

| "St. Francis Venerating the Crucifix" | This is a rendition of an El Greco painting that is currently hanging at the San Francisco Legion of Honor museum. I could only finish about a third of the drawing while in the presence of the painting. That is the reason for the inconsistant detail. This is another drawing in graphite, 9x12 inches. |
| a horned lizard | Yup, it is a horned lizard. The original was in graphite, about 12 inches by 8 or so. However, the piece that appears before you is only a xerox of the original (a pretty decent one though!). The original is god knows where, but that's a long story. The backround of this piece is (obviously) digital, using one of my multitudes of my personal rock textures. How many people do you know with multitudes of personal rock textures, huh? |
| the seven modern deadly sins |
If you cannot tell from the picture, the sins are (clockwise from top-left) perkiness, ignorance, hypocrisy, hatred, deceit, pretension, and trendiness. The medium is a silver and gold scratch foil attached to wooden blocks. Some of them have bizarre symbolism, such as the clueless head who doesn't read/ censors books (the burning book) and whose own brain is trying to escape in ignorance. |
| lost at sea | This is a mixed media piece. It is about a 24"x 20" or so. It originally started as a color study, but I decided to expand upon it, and included a figure in ink to contrast the vibrantly colored backround. When I finished it, I decided that the backround look liked the sea with its various pieces of detritus floating in it, hence the title. |
| wind weird | Another mixed media piece, using everything from pen, watercolor, india ink, charcoal, the works. This piece is about 24 x 20 inches or so. This was during my recycling phase, when I took bits and pieces that were about to be tossed from the art room at my school and instead make something out of them. |
| drawing composite | Each one of the heads and non-backround objects are currently in the margins of my notes for my classes, and each one is much smaller than they appear on this screen. For instance, the largest of the heads is only 2.5 inches tall. The backround was made in Photoshop, because a backround of multivariable calculus equations is not too thrilling. |

| "Warlords" texture | This piece is a topographic texture map for an addon for Bungie Studios' Myth II. This was made as part of Hexographica for a plugin called Warlords. The normal size of this piece is 2048 x 2048 pixels. |

| "If It Doesn't Move... Kill It!" texture | This is another texture map, for a plugin called "If If Doesn't Move... Kill It!". This is map started off as a Bryce 3d image, and reworked in Photoshop to get this final product. This product was also released under the Hexographica label. Note: this map's texture has only 240 colors (hence the graininess). |

| "Raiders" texture | This was actually my first texture map, which I made when I was working for Creation Games. This was part of their very first plugin, and called "Raiders of the Ermine." I recently reworked of the transitions of this piece, and I am really impressed with how it turned out. This piece was originally 2048 x 1792 pixels. |

| "dismay" | This piece, like many of my other pieces, is the spontaneous product of a boring day. I'm not saying that's a bad thingthe best pieces of art are the product of spontaneity rather than excruciatingly detailed planning.
I think this piece would make a good album cover. |

| scene in 3 mediums | This series was created for my art class. I wanted to see how well I could emulate different fine art styles only using my computer. To do this, I created a 3d terrain as a realistic subject, then attacked it with Photoshop. Thrilling, eh? |

| stuff from Calwell | During my time on the Calwell team, I was the lead texture artist. My duty was to supply the lead 3D modeller with high resolution textures for his models. Such textures include this arena shown in the front here, and the grass texture above. |

| irritant number 4 | Don't bother trying to decipher any deep meaning from the title or the piece. It was originally a Photoshop 6.0 test-doodle, but I was bored enough to transform it into a full fledged piece. And I really like the results.
Oh, if you are curious, the text on the right originally said "we have heads on sticks, we've got puppets on strings." I don't know why either. |
